Who is Jermaine?
About Me
ENFJ. Pisces. Whatever these categories may mean to you.
I love writing free-verse poems, going for hikes, spending time with my dogs, experimenting with cooking, playing sports, and dramatic/abstract portraiture of any medium. I’ve always been on the quiet and calm side with a personality that loves to meet new people (and dance!). I avidly live by the notion of “mind over matter”, whether I am being physically or mentally challenged by something, I will always persevere.

Why do I love the world of design?
All my life, I’ve been known as an abstract thinker — too much of the same thing becomes boring to me. I’ve always liked to revamp ideas to maintain familiarity yet to look and feel different. Through school, creative subjects were always my strong suit eventually bringing me to study architecture at UNSW as I found the buildings in my local town to lack life and diversity. After maintaining a distinction average WAM, I found the prospects of a career in architecture did not align with what I wanted. This lead me down a path of discovering UX, UI and product design and I was instantly fascinated. The creative freedom and complexities were so beautiful and enchanting to me.
My Goals
For me, I have many goals I would like to achieve. I’d like to develop my own app from scratch, learn more coding, further my design and marketing skills, and eventually work with a top tech company!
Other goals I have are to get back into soccer, improve my physical strength, find some cool bars and restaurants around Sydney and hike/camp more.
